Ya know what sucks about having 3 cars?

This is for non-Subaru related topics. Keep it realistic please.

When all 3 of them need gas...

I spent $78.22 on gas today, filling all 3 of them up...

Ouch :(

The key is to make sure you register them in different months, and you NEVER fill them up at the same time. ( unless you can find a killer deal.

( try this on 4 vehicles)

Isn't one of the cars your grandfathers?

I have 3 cars...I only drive one. The other looks pretty in my yard and the wife drives the really expensive one. I just fix it. As of now I don;t drive any because my ALT is dead.

I've got 4. 3 are registered. One is broken. Bike needs no emissions.

Forester is maintainenced up, bike needs work in the spring. Legacy needs work 13 months a year.

Cost me $75 to fill JUST the Legacy and the Forester (~30 for the Forester and ~45 for the Legacy). The bike usually costs under 10 bucks and the tank goes longer than either of the cars.

Nice that you can register them in separate months and stagger your tag renewals. Here in FL, when it's your birthday, it's time to cough up the registration fees again. Doesn't matter when ya got 'em.

Except for the big-ass 24' box truck I've got. That gets renewed at the end of every year instead of on my birthday. Again, has nothing to do with when I originally registered it (which was in August '05) - I still had to renew on Dec 31st '05 and pay another $150.

Yep. In fact, I thought it was a federal thing that you got your registration renewed at the time of your birthday. Guess not.

It's really nice. The DMV sends you a postcard basically saying "Happy Birthday! Please pay us $40 to re-register each car"

87 T-15 ( winter daily driver and hauler)( with fresh Camaro 3.4)
93 Legacy SS ( The autocross car)
96 Nissan Maxima ( the summer driver with a few mods)
01 Impreza RS ( the Looker with handling mods)

None of these belong to any other person- the title is in hand except for the Impreza.

Staggered tabs - march, august, Sept and Oct.

Maxima is Garaged all winter, but the 2 Subarus and the truck are driven year round. ( try insurance, gas and tabs on all of this)

I've only got 2......most of the expenses are staggered, registration for the truck is in the winter, and spring for the car.

Yeah, until I read this thread, I thought it was the norm to renew on your birthday nationwide too.

Just seems more and more like FL is playing sick jokes 24/7 on it's residents. Like it got tired of just messing with visitors. What, there's not enough of them?
