Wheel bearings
Anybody replace a wheel bearing on their legacy before? What's involved with it?

Almost all of us have had at least one of them replaced. They tend to go after a while. As for what's involved...it isn't easy and requires the use of a press (to do it the right way) or a very large mallet (for the wrong way).

I was thinking a very large mallet like my uncle suggested. My wheel bearing got soo bad i had to just leave the car on the side of the road and have a friend come get me because it felt like it was dragging the wheel. I'm starting to get sick of fixing my car all the time. I want a Yamaha R6

since they only have 27k and are in great condition hows $50 a hub since they are $93 new from 1stsubaruparts.com. PM me if anyone is interested.
Would make it a lot easier than rebuilding one.

Just to clarify... for the mechanically uninitiated:
1) Would a hub replacement fix all bearing issues? (Is there an "inside" vs and "outside" bearing issue? )
2) Would your hubs fit right on a 1993 Legacy Wagon (L 5mt)?
3) Why are they lying around vs still on your car?

1) the new hub will take car of all your bearing
issues since it is a completely different hub
2) YES. Should bolt right up (someone correct
me if im wrong) almost 100% that they bolt
right up.
3) the car they come from now has a full V4 sti
swap in it so the stock hubs arent needed..
the axels, calipers and brakes are availible
as well

Question about HUB Part number 28373XA00A. (1st Subaru Parts had the following information):
28373XA00A $104.13 $0.00 $74.98
Front suspension - Brake components - Hub
Hub Back 2006
28373XA00A $104.13 $0.00 $74.98
Rear suspension - Brake components - Hub assy
Hub assy Back 2006
=================================
Questions if anyone can help:
Is it front/back, driver or passenger side (both are listed above, or does front/back/right/left not matter?)?
Will it work on a 93 AWD L 5MT?
Thanks for any help.
