Fuel door latch cable lost

Post by subjfd »

Between my GF and I we will kill this car...

It was cold and I tried to release the frozen cable that releases the fuel door...Anyhow, it fell beneath its housing at the fuel door, and I am trying to figure out how to get it back. I know it runs underneath the rear seat, but after, I am stumped....

Help please ?

Thanks !

Fixed it....I had to remove the plastic trimming on the passenger side near the strut assembly and wiggle it out while pulling with a plier from outside. Fixed :)

The cable runs from the pull actuator, down the left side ( in a rail assembly), then under the rear seat, then up the pass side rear strut tower, then into the trunk and swings around and twists into it's spot in the rear of the fuel opening.

it is held into the fuel opening area by a half twist thread. You will have to pull back the trunk side carpet/plastic- grab the assembly end piece and push it back into its mounting and give it a half twist till it seats.

If you need pics, I can show later.
