I'm not waiting for her. Well shit, when it rains, it pours.

Kat's hooked on meth and living with the meth dealer.

My grandma had a stroke and congestive heart and kidney failure a week ago. Now tonight she's back in the hospital and not expected to live much longer.

My car is sitting in my driveway worthless while I wait for a new MSD and pray that's the only thing keeping it from firing up.

I'm sick, my throat has some kind of crap in it, cant talk. and my head feels like someone is hitting me with a jackhammer.

I know I'm going to have a hard time concentrating at school for a while due to this issue and that sucks for the classes im taking.

I don't feel like eating at the moment so I'm dropping weight quickly.

I need to get myself together.

But as a friend, she's worth it, and I would be there for any of my friends that needed and wanted my help legally or illegally.

I think if you looked into 90% of the deaths in north america, they would be caused by stress.

Obesity, strokes, heart attacks, car crashes and even cancer can all be directly linked to stress.

Take some time to chill out, and not to worry about stuff so much. Remember, this is your life. Things can go bad or good and you can only control so much. One of the hardest lessons Ive ever learned was how to square your shoulders after fate takes a shit on you.

Be the stone in the stream and let your troubles wash over you.

Ok, so one of her friends I was talking to managed to get ahold of her. She told him that she's selling but not smoking it. But he said she seemed really out of it and didn't even know what day it was. Her bf joey hit her and broke her cellphone so thats why it wasn't working. They were leaving to go look for their friend tyler who is gone missing and they think he might be dead.

Dan, walk away brother. I know it's hard and all but walk away.

Addicts don't just sell, particularly meth addicts. If she decides she's finally done with it and wants out of the dark world of hard drug use then you can be there but man, don't try to walk into that thicket to help her if she doesn't want found. Particularly if there is already a death involved (God forbid). I just see this situation ready to snowball at a hair's touch.

You've got enough on your plate. Handle the things that you can control, diet, school, health ... mental health. Get those issues where you're happy again first.

Remember, everybody is ultimately responsible for their own life.

I see and deal with drug users/dealers every week.
When someone gets hooked on something as bad as crack or meth, their whole world changes. They will do almost ANYTHING to get their fix. Lie, steal, you name it. They will justify it with anything they can. They will tell you they are just selling, but they may only be selling to get the money for their next hit.
Friends and family become disposable because the only thing on their mind is the next hit.
You can go crazy worrying about these friends and even do almost anything trying to help them, but until THEY hit bottom, anything you do will be a waste of time. These people don't want to be saved, they just want the next hit.

The best thing to do is what you did: offer a helping hand WHEN ONE IS ASKED FOR.

But now you have to put this part of your life to rest. When someone is drowning and does not want help, they will drag you down with them if you let them.

You have to keep your life in order and keep going.
Keep your health up , spend time with family, and do the things that make you happy. Just move on.

Vigilante justice is for the movies. Go live your life, and leave the waste behind. It may be tough to do at times, but there are always family and friends to be there to help!

If you let yourself get dragged into this whole thing now, your life is going to go to hell with it and you won't be able to help when she really needs it... when she comes to you for it instead of the other way around.

Do not pursue these people man. Think of your own well-being. If this girl wants to act like this then that's her deal. Don'g involve yourself in her drama. It doesn't matter how much you care, you should move on. This kind of thing rarely ever ends well. Even if you were married...especially if you were married, I'd be thinking about getting as far away from this as possible.

I have a friend whose wife is pulling this shit. They have a beafutiful little girl of three and she has the nerve to do this kind of shit time and time again. I'm talking about the same thing, up and disappearing without a word. The first couple times people were worried, now nobody is ever surprised when it happens and this woman's family gets to suffer her lack of will and irresponsible behavior. It's never an intelligent path to walk but to have such total disregard for others is the ultimate selfishness and you'd be wise to take note of that trait.

Dan,

I've got to agree 100% with Laurel....walk away man. It's going to hurt, but not until you do so, and take a step back from the situation will you see you are going to be better off.

I've been there....and when you can finally take a step back and look at things....it all becomes clear.

Here is one thing that nobody mentioned....

If you discharge a weapon in the vecinity of a Meth lab you could lose your own life. Those places are highly unstable like Chalres Manson.

Walk away brother. If you need to get away I have a couch and a Carona with your name on it. If you come in august you can try and help me find the asshole that jacked my car.

I talked to her last night finally while she was in the privacy of her car....I let her know that I wasn't calling to yell at her and that I wasn't mad at her. I told her that if she was happy, I would support her decision. Then I asked her if she was happy. The way she put it is things have been better.

I reminded her that last year I said I would come for her if I thought she couldn't handle a situation on her own. She told me she thought I had stopped caring for her because i rarely talked to her. (I didn't want to interfere in her life) Then I asked if she trusted me and if she trusted my judgement. When she said yes, I told her it was time for her to leave Vegas for good. Her only objection was she has some financial responsibilities in Vegas. I just told her that it didn't matter.

Joey walked outside at this point to see if she was still on the phone because he was getting a little nervous about her talking to me. I could hear him in the back ground when she rolled down the window to talk to him and he was like I love you hun and she just said thanks. It made me laugh for a sec. He just turned around and went back inside.

Anyway, there is a 50/50 shot she will end up moving here with me. Here I can provide her with a place to stay without her having to worry about rent and get her finish college.

Oh yeh, this guy's house isn't a methlab. I think they just distribute it.

Kat did sound like she was clear in the head when I talked to her, just a little stressed out. Especially after I told her that her friend and his gf were in the hospital. I don't know if she's smoking or not at this point.

this guy is kinda young i think When he answered he was all apologetic that kat hadn't called me. Then when I told him that kat's friends were in the hospital, all he could say was OMG, OMG, this is soo terrible. I almost thought he was gay for a moment because of the manner he was saying it in.

I dunno man, taking her in sounds like heaping a lot more trouble on yourself than would be wise to do. she starts selling meth out of your house, good chance youll be an accessory, get robbed, etc.

bottom line: meth changes people into something bad, and they DONT change back. dont get caught up in the BS. fool me once, shame on you. fool me twice, shame on me.

Right now I have to give her the benefit of the doubt because she's never broken my trust, and she has no reason to lie to me. I know this is a dangerous situation I could be putting myself in if she moved in with me. But I do have a good idea how to keep it relatively fool proof if she does come.

Right now my biggest priority is to get her out of Las Vegas if she wants to leave. Everything else comes second.

Did i mention I've been getting weird emails on myspace from someone in kansas bordering on somewhat threatening? I think he is from 3-4 yrs ago when kat got sent to kansas. His profile says he is 51 and some kind of biggot pastor or something. I'm half tempted to look him up....in person. I'm going to ignore him for now though. Here's a link to his profile if anyone is bored. http://www.myspace.com/westboro

Whether or not this ends ok, when it is over, I'm going to find out who he is and visit a lot of pain on him. Kat will have a good idea who it is and I can find him from there.

email the fucker back and say if he has a beef, come down to CO and deal with it like a christian. that ought to shut him up, or at least piss him off. hell maybe you can get him riled up enough to do something stupid to where you can justify a beat down or at least get a restraining order.

I'll send him a copy of novel IV when I finish. A fundamentalist Christian nut-job sect doesn't get along well with the Evolution Movement (my take on Darwin vs. 'Intelligent' Design in schools) and it gets bloody. Maybe I'll send him the first one where one of the main characters is gay... oh what am I saying, an idiot like that can't read.

I always thought people so virulently homophobic are definitely gay.

Send gay porn to his church's address in obvious packaging as if he had ordered it.

Link some gay sites to his. And I didn't get it, but is the friend he lists in the middle for real, because he most definitely seems gay to me.

I'm guessing you didn't check out this guy's profile. This "church" protested at the matthew sheppard funeral. They even have a thing on their website counting how many days since he died.
