So I dug out an old turbo intake manifold that is completely stripped down and polished on the outside (thanks kelley/brydon!) and got to work grinding down the throttle body area (not making it larger, just smoothing it out). Then I really got to work on the 4 intake!
Instead of a dremel or other slow air powered tool, I used a woodworking rasp. Man can that thing cut fast! I opened then up over an 1/8" inch in each direction.
Now the MOST IMPORTANT THING is when doing this, is you are not just opening up the lip. You need to cut 1-2" back as well. The manifold closes in on itself near the end, and there are plenty of weird casting folds that can easily be cleaned out.
There is ALOT of aluminium on my shop floor now.
I have one head ported on the intake side as well, but those have to be pretty much done with slow as air tools. I need to get the valves pulled out of them next so I can really get in there and get them open and smooth flowing. (not polished, just smooth flowing.)
Ported my new intake manifold.

Who says I didnt?
Haha
All I know for sure is that the openings for each runner were all slightly different from each other. So I bet that if you did a flow test on a stock manifold, each runner would be slightly different. So therefore, cause I am always right, by opening them up the same amount in ratio, they should still be withen the same messed up ratio as they came from the factory!
yeah, I have no clue how much I actually improved flow, but if you were to actually see it in person, boy, would you see and measure a difference!
