Has anyone tryed to pull the engine and tranny as a unit?

but I think it would be phrased as a "drop" not a "pull"

Just gotta make sure the car's high enough for the whole assembly to tilt back enough. I'd certainly remove the radiator first too.

Man, that was a BLAST!!!!

Go hog wild with the impact gun, and don't care about putting it back in the car it came out of, and you can pull it right quick!!!

Yeah,
Ive done it as well. In addition to the radiator, it also eases things to drop the crossmember and steering rack out the bottom. Once you have done that, you have the option of lowering it out the bottom onto a dollie, or pretty easily pulling it out the top...

we used a engine hoist to pick the front end up, and like you said, throw in a dolly (we used a re inforced creeper) and itll roll right out the front....
