Oxygen sensor gone bad?

can a faulty oxygen sensor effect performance, and can they be repaired?
If not, how much is a new one?

No
40-120 depending on if you get it from a generic place or from the dealer.

do a search for oxygen sensor there's a couple threads, and where you can get a generic one.
