Picked it up on e-bay for around $46 shipped I think....
Quality seems OK. It's the GC bar and I imagine it'll clear the exhaust and everything just fine.
Will it do anything? I dunno, i'll find out

I wonder if there'd be any point in putting one into a rollcaged car

On a normal car, with a good suspension and a strut tower bar, there's still a noticable difference. In a caged car, I'm with Splinter. One of the problems with the brace is that it hangs down below pretty much everything else, but that shouldn't be a problem with a dyno queen like Phil's

Pssht, she's no dyno queen. I just like to have fun with it.
Car has no roll-cage yet, and it'll be summer before I even start making plans towards that idea.
Though enough ground clearance to get over the rollers WOULD be nice...

No hate, just a friendly poke.
The brace that I hand-carried from Japan is probably still on the 93, now owned by biggreen96, and he drives in a lot more snow than I ever did. Imprezer recommended that I not put one on my BE because it hangs even lower, so I passed. The BE is pretty damned stiff already.

I figure the bracing couldn't hurt. The roll cage doesn't go under the car, afterall.

Ground clearance could theoretically hurt, if you ever plan to take your car off the asphalt

I bought that same exact one, but haven't had a chance to put it in yet. I hate messing with the control arm bolts. Mine are a bitch to turn.

Oh yea? I'm surprised by the quality, really.
I was expecting pure garbage, and it's actually kinda cool.

Especially with the lurking thieves out there. I may paint my alloy control arms, even.
