Post by TurboSubie »

Got a chance to pic up a 16-g from an evo..has about 24K on it for $200...will this work on the legacy without tons of modification?

I believe the flanges are different iirc, and no 90 degree inlet...so I don't think it would be a walk in the park

you would need an evo down pipe more likely custom bent, 90' inlet no prob just use silcon, and up pipe would have to be custom made for the evo hot side flange. my advice buy the turbo go to dsmtuners sell it for 400 or 500 and buy a 16g that would fit a legacy!!

Let me get this straight, the 16g that has the proper flanges to work on a legacy is the tdo5h? The h is what designates the flange pattern, is it not?

nah i dont think that "h" means that. if u want to find a 16g u gotta find one off of the early JDM WRX's if im not mistaken. or u could jus go with the 800 dollar deadbolt 16g's. i havent been able to find a cheap 16g myself so it could be a lil hard. i dunno.
