Washington Insurance OMG! The Suxxorz!

Post by Redlined »

moved Washington temporarily a few months back. Became a little less temporary than I had intended.

My insurrance ran out so I updated to the Washington Address for the new Policy.

My Insurance Jumped from $67 a month with extra coverage to $98 a month Minimum.

Thinking they must be mad at me for letting my policy lapse I ran a quote at the old Oregon address.

$42 a month Minumum.

Reran the Washington Address. $98 a month.

I have had NO tickets and NO accidents in the passed 6 years.

Is insurance in Washington State just that insanly priced?

Where did you move from? There are quite a few factors they use when determining rates.
Yes I have too many Subarus
No you can't have one

Moved from Beaverton OR (just west of Portland) to Vancouver. About a 20 minute drive away.

We pay some of the most outrageous ins rates the the union. Mostly cuz of duis and other shit.
I remember in high school, it wasn't uncommon for us to br paying anywhere from 160 to 185 a month, depending on the car, coverage, and company.
Another reason why I ride dirty.

 That's nothing. That almost resembles the senior rate. Don't move to MA. I paid $2700 one year with almost nothing coverage and thankfully moved out of Salem (saved $1600). That was two speeding tickets, but the surcharge for it was only a couple hundred.

Yeah, I forgot to tell him that. Anything less than 100/mon isn't bad at all. . :?

I got some quotes recently while insurance shopping, $64 a month for my VW Rabbit GTI, $103 a month if I change to a Legacy SS

My insurance costs me $129 a month with a ticket and an accident(my fault) on my record. That's full coverage. :)
