94NA turbo pics & top 8 thoughts before doing this yours

Post by waldo320 »

Well it is finally done 94 NA to turbo conversion. Here it goes 05 td04L, 95 eagle talon side mount ( YES SIDE MOUNT) intercooler, custom 2" intercooler pipeing, custom oil feed from pressure sensor ( just retap 1/8" bspt to 1/8" npt and get all the T's from summitracing), oil pan with new hole in the side with 1/2 hose attachment, ebay bov turbo xs style ( peace of junk had to weld so it would not fall apart). 91 ss manifold, impreza up pipe and down pipe, Still to come 480cc injectors and afc.
Also with the pictures top 8 things to think about before doing this to your CAR.

The set up, 8 THE OIL PAN IS EVIL

Closer look at the blow through set up, 7 Two words "CUSTOM EVERYTHING"

A closer look at how to make a 90' angle of the td04 silcon wow no welding involved BRILIANT !!, 6 Two words CUSTOM INTERCOOLER

The smic just mad a few custom brakets , 5 RHB5 is a peace of junk VF11 like a cold beer after trying to get injectors out of a rail!!

A closer look at a peace of junk rhb5 will trade for a smt6 or 05 sti, forged pistons, or forged rods, 5 Blow through set up is the only way to go on a NA!

Awesome insanity!

That is one rusty engine! It even looks like the aluminium is rusted!

Serious good budget build!

What psi is it pushing? and which injectors are in?

Right now i am running 6-7 psi with stock injectors, I know i am knocking bad but that is why I am using race gas right now 116 octance till I have some time to mess with putting in bigger injetors in, what would be an option to put bigger injectors with out running an afc, and so I am not desieling by just putting in the injectors and fuel manigment?

Install an upgrade fuel pump (which you should do regardless of what path you take) and then throw on an RRFPR.

Hey, you're in Akron?

Cool; I'm in Cleveland. If you need help with stuff whenever lemme know.

Definitely stop boosting the engine until you can at least fuel for it! Using better fuel can't substitute for using not enough fuel.

When you knock bad, look out your rear window. If you see black smoke, that is BAD knock.
