Ever just keep driving?

Post by entirelyturbo »

I was coming home from work tonight, driving the Legacy, and I was just about home... and then I decided to just keep on driving...

I went everywhere from hauling ass through a dark neighborhood to running her out on the highway... I probably drove an extra 10 miles just because I felt like it...

Anyone ever done that? Just comes over you all of a sudden? For no reason?

I think my Legacy felt jealous of the XT, since that's a new toy, and she tempted my subconsciously to take her out on a little jaunt

Yeah - best ever was when I was going home from college (about 2 miles) and just filled her up at a 24hour station. Kept driving right to the opposite coast of Scotland, found some FANTASTIC twisty single-track roads. Slept in the car for a few hours and then drove back the next day. Best £20 I ever spent...

Mind you, that was in an original Mini so it wasn't as much fun as the Legacy, either to drive or sleep in

Every day. I can never take short trips as I never want to get out.

Steve.
Midnight in a Perfect World on Amazon or order anywhere. The first book in a quartet chronicling the rise of a man from angry criminal to philanthropist. Midnight... is a distopic noirish novel featuring 'Duchess', a modified 1990 Subaru Legacy wagon.

 Happens to me all the time. . . . even on the way to work, today!

Took a 10 mile detour to hit some twisty roads through Woodinville before coming back up into Bothell to the office. :D
