Are 91 and 92 FWD rear struts different?

Struts, spring, anti-rollbars, braces and the like.

Are 91 and 92 FWD rear struts different?

Post by caperex »

I'm about to order some KYB-GR2s for my 91 L FWD,but they are listed as 92-94.The guy said the 91s are different, and they cost more(??).......all I can find on here are the AWD specs.

Can someone please tell me if I can use them or not?

Yes sir, they are. The spring perches are different heights. I believe it was the same for the 91 AWD and FWD in terms of perch height.

Search for kyb fitment.

If Phil's correct about the AWD & FWD spring perch heights difference being similar between 91 & 92 MY's, then the numbers I posted should give you an idea of what may happen.

You should be able to use the 92 FWD rear struts with minimal impact to the vehicle's ride height.
