205 55 15 fit OK?

Post by Calgaryturbo »

Just wanted to know if 205 55 15 is the best size to go with on my turbo rims. I have 195 65's now and thay are too sloppy. I am looking to go with the Kumo Exsta ASK because the re950 doesn't come in a 205 55.
Also anyone know if the rolling diameter is would be the same as stock? (195 60 15)
Cheers

It is 1.64% off from factory - it is about as close as you can get with a plus size on the 15's. I ran them for awhile and the 205's are better- more tire for the big car.

I'm running 205/60's and love them. Very noticable increase in traction and handling. You'll like them.

I've been thinking about getting new tires also. Currently have 195/60/15 which have a sidewall height of 117. 205/55/15 have a sidewall height of 112.75. What would this do to the look of the tire in the wheel well? The 205 is wider. It won't rub on account of this, will it? Thinking about Continental Conti Extreme Contact, $77.00 at Tirerack. Being that its been known to rain at times here, Bremerton Wa., I like all season for a summer tire. Thoughts? Emoticon courtesy of grandson, age 3.

I used to have 205/50-15. They were pretty good.
