4wd 1992 legacy automatic

Hi everybody!i own an 1992 2.2 gx 4wd legacy automatic...It seems than my rear do not work...as I understanded is possible than the clutch transferr plates are burned....is possible than my milleage be worse because of that???in fwd mode my consumption is arround 9 -10 liters / 100 km...after I removed the fwd fuse...my consumption is arround 20 liters / 100 km.
I'm from Romania...so please advice me ....here are not too many subaru's like mine.....and no proffesionals...I will try to change by myself the clutch transferr plates...so any picture, document is welcome...Thanks for your cooperation!

Sorry, but I cant help you with your problem.
Subtle (normally aspirated engines suck):
05 Legacy GT Wagon with Cobb chip.

Thanks TomK....that topic I studied first time when I accesed this forum...Is very helpfull but I will do the job by myself, I leave somewhere does not exist subaru legacy spare parts on all the shops...so I would like to avoid the bad things which can happen by studying and knowing in detail and acuracy what I have to do...so...any help, idea, picture and everything...is welcome....who can explain to me this bad mileage?????
