What is the cure...

Post by Tleg93 »

for my farked up existence? I was moving along fine and then the last two years have seen me get one car hit from behind, a house burn down around said car, a dui, and now this... I'm going to die I think. Maybe I'm supposed to already be dead. I'm not sure it would be a bad thing.

We're not here to be happy, we're here to persevere and learn from life's shit. The reason so many people in America are depressed is the perpetuated lie of finding happiness as the point of existance. That and the stress of happiness coming from material goods and finding the elusive 'soul mate' plus too much free time to consider it all.

The oppressed women in Egypt had a pride in them missing in most every woman I meet here that comes from not questioning their existance nor expecting happiness or having the time to even think about it. Their existance is defined from birth and that's it. I'm not saying that's preferable as that situation leaves them unable to learn or evolve, I'm just using it to make a point about how the freedom to choose is a double edged sword. I personally prefer bleeding.
Midnight in a Perfect World on Amazon or order anywhere. The first book in a quartet chronicling the rise of a man from angry criminal to philanthropist. Midnight... is a distopic noirish novel featuring 'Duchess', a modified 1990 Subaru Legacy wagon.

I don't know, Steve. Happiness is achievable and far easier for some than others. Suffering does encourage growth but too much suffering isn't a good thing at all. It just pisses me off to see others doing well and me eating shit.
