Turbo mounting confusion

Post by Splinter »

Just spent about half an hour reading threads in this forum, trying to figure something out

There are lots of threads about the intake side of the turbo, how some are clocked wrong or have straight out pipes instead of 90 degree bends, etc

What I dont see any mention of is how they mount on the exhaust side. Are they all standard? At least, all the subaru ones. Im thinking specifically of the VF23

The inlet and the outlet of the wrx/legacy style turbos have the same flanges. Thats why we can use up pipes and down pipes used on wrx's.
