You have to pull the rear seat out to get to them.

To remove the rear seat you have to take out the two bolts on the lower part of the seat bottom.
With the bolts out lift the front edge, of the seat bottom, to release the little metal clip that holds it in(towards the trunk).

Now, you will see the bolts that hold the seat back in, remove them. From the trunk unscrew the plates that hold the trunk carpet to the lower part of the seat back.

I believe you can run the bar with the rear seat in, however you have to cut/notch the trim panels on either side so the bar will slide through them.

I didn't have to cut any trim panels but I did have to widen the holes in the trunk.

And yeah there are a total of 5 bolts and some hooks holding the seat in.

I had to trim the carpet/plastic stuff to get it in.

I didn't have to widen the holes in the trunk though. But truthfully, I wasn't very careful when installing the bar. I'll inspect today. It didn't look like it was binding on anything and it lines up OK.
