wow that sounds great. what kind of chip is he using do ya know? im sure everyone would like to hear.

i was searching this morning and it seems like it would be more than just wiring in that MAF. i guess you gotta somehow, translate the readings from the MAF. or is that what that tuner is going to be doing for ya? anyway keep us all posted on this. im super interested in it. good luck!

260 whp at 13 psi?

Stock STI at 15-16 psi makes less......

As for cracking the ECU and actually "tuning" it......

Oh yeah, I am doubtful.

YES! Please post dyno sheets with the air:fuel if possible. That should shut down any nay sayers as well. I wish I lived closer, I'd love to check out the chipped ecu you have. I have a chip burner/programmer and could probably distribute it for him as I'm sure alot of members on this board would die for it...especially myself!

^^ there is no point for a dyno sheet right now, i will get one for my crazy run on the dyno makeing some real power.

about the chip, there is no use of coping it. its made for my car only. you would have to copy my hole set up for my motor and then it might work. h

the best thing is to book a day for the dyno tune, and let him do his thing.

555BCTurbo: hahahahah ya this is one big scam o well, hey you no what!! the impreza you see in my pics thats all photo shop also, pretty good EH!! (wow nico you out did your self this time, i had all these pepole fooled for so long)

azn2nr: i geuss? if thats what its called, then thats what its called. cracking is the same thing, did you ever hear of anyone else being able to do this? no you havent!! becuse someone must have tried and could not do it, so he cracked the ecu or you can say figured out.

THIS is for everyone bustting my balls about makeing 200hp@7psi, its 200hp whippidy doo. formula = ej22t block, dohc heads from ej20k turbo motor HUGE FLOW, lower compression, vf22, headers, full race exhuste, intake done, and chipped for gods sake running 11.00afr right across the board smooth as hell and pulls like crazy.

actualy nico ive had a hunch that his had worked for a while just no one has excersized it to this point. nissans which share many things with our cars so ecu's may not be too far off and proms for nissans are fairly popular. that and the voss chip in austraila came from simmilar desent.

actual cracking the ecu involves being able to tune in without adding chips, or proms much as like is needed to tune with an accessport for wrx's. trey cobb tried on and off for 2 years to crack 22t ecu's so that they would be internaly tuneable but failed so much he just stopped trying.

If it's anything like a Mitsu Eclipse ECU pre-95, those stock ecu chips get replaced with a socket. Then you can place in the socket either pre-programed 'upgraded' eeprom chips, or a programable eprom that you can modify on the fly with a laptop or similar. Either case, the stock chip gets replaced. It's too bad your mechanic can't join the boards to share his knowledge. I'd love to pick his brain and see if he can't share the programable image he's obviously created.

That looks sick! Love the yellow letter tires. Looks like a clean stock Euro Impreza turbo. Very nice.

its fun to drive when the boost is down, when boost is up it hits so hard i cant controle the car, it torque steers so hard and track use is no good no more, becuse of the power it makes.

but its fun hahahha
