Green Power light question 94 Turbo

Post by 94TurboWagon »

I have a question regarding the green power light, which I believe gives you tranny codes. I have a 94 Touring wagon with 141k on it. The tranny shifts fine. When I driving mostly at highway speeds or lets say above 35 mph the green power light comes on and stays on for about 5-10 secs. and then goes off, at which time the tranny seems like its wants to shift or revs or something, I dont know how to describe it. This cycle repeats itself quite often during my half hour ride to work on the freeway. Any idea what this could be. Also as at times the car gives a quick jerk back and forth, from front to rear, kind of like if you bounced of a wall so to speak. This also happens as I am decelerating and release pressure on the acclerator. NOTE: I dont know if this plays into it or can actually be the cause of it, but Im missing the hose that goes from the by pass valve or blow off valve to the pvc connector where the turbo is. Thanks for any clues or solutions you might have.

The green power light normally comes on when you push on the gas somewhat aggressively. When it's on, the engine revs higher before the transmission switches gears.
