I broke the plastic T-section where the crank breather connects to the left&right valve covers. SO I bought a 1/2" T-fitting from Mill's Fleet Farm, about $2.89-ish each, and 4' hose; 3/4" outside diameter, 1/2" inside diameter. I routed the driver side hose to the breather CLOSEST to the front fitting on the valve cover, then it routed between the TWO driver side intake runners and behind the alternator to the T-fitting. The PASSENGER side, I routed on the FURTHEST front fitting on the valve cover and ran the hose under the STOCK '99 L powersteering lines and behind the powersteering pump to the T-fitting. I lefted the factory U-hose on the crank breather; this one was actually on the FIRST EJ22T shortbock I bought, and it wasn't hard and stiff like the one that came on THIS motor, it was a softer rubber U-hose. I didn't use any clamps to hold the hoses on, but we'll see if I need them in the future.
Ya, the PCV hose from the PCV valve I think is a 3/4". Where I cut it, it was smaller, and the T-fitting fit it just fine, so I didn't bother putting a clamp there; I might in the future if there's a leak. Yes from the REAR crank breather, it's 1/2"; this piece was actually my STOCK passenger '99 valve cover vacumm hose and has a 45* at the end and it's straight the rest of the way. I took off the factory F plastic piece because it broke, used a SHORTER 1" hose and the NA y-fitting and covered up the fitting where it went to the PCV valve on the NA models with some JB WELD.
The T-fitting I bought at Mill's Fleet Farm as I didn't want to spend $$$$ for it at the Auto Parts stores. It worked out VERY WELL to what I wanted. VERY HAPPY!
The 90* for the turbo inlet is NAPA part number 7905, made by ECR w/ NAPA logo on it. I remember buying a NAPA ECR upper radiator hose for a '02+ WRX/STi and it costed $14 w/ the NAPA label. I went to Bumper to Bumper today and bought the SAME HOSE but no NAPA logo, just ECR and it costed only $11!!!!!! I might be making more trips to Bumper to Bumper for hoses and stuff.......no axles though...haha
