im over boosting
so after working on my motor all morning. and getting all the piping and couplings on the intercooler be able to hold pressure without blowing off. i finally got it to hold boost. but i was over boosting. I was boosting to 17 psi and then to 15 and then to 13 and back and forth. it was fluctuating between those numbers. and thats on one run. its only doing this at WOT. other than that the turbo works great. i know my boost cut is at 13. and for the time being i want to run just 12 psi. when iget my FCD ill boost higher. but i want to know what could be causing this. FYI i am running a td04 with the stock td04 wastegate and stock 22t boost controller, i am pretty sure all the vacuum lines and connections are perfect. and i dont have and CELs. and i have a after market manual boost controller but with those you cant lower the boost from stock boost settings correct?

If you're using a boost controller, you're not using the stock solenoid, so you can turn down the boost to whatever level the TD04 wastegate opens at (no idea).

Hook up the boost controller then. It'll give you much better boost control than the old stock unit.

If I remember right, the TD04's wastegate actuator has a much stiffer spring than the VF11's. The stock boost control system won't work. Just connect the wastegate actuator straight to the nipple on the compressor housing; that'll give you roughly the same boost that you had with the VF11 and stock controller.
