How much for a touring wagon partout?

Post by Splinter »

My buddy sean has found a touring wagon with a rear main seal leak (oh no! end of the world!!!), going for $1000. Body is in great condition except for some rust on the rear door/trunk thing

He wants to swap the EJ22T into his 98RS, swapping the heads.

How much do you think he could make parting out the wagon, his old shortblock, and the turbo heads?

I'm trying to convince him that he could pretty much pay for the wagon.

It's either going to help make another Subaru carry on the Legacy tradition, and help out some other sick touring wagons from dying, or be lost on the hands of some idiot teenager who needs a space to run some absurb soundsystem, or a ghetto trash single mom.

I'd say this is a far more honourable path for it.
