Yeah, my front right's inner boot is torn and is spewing its guts all over the underside of my car (mostly the exhaust though, so it just burns off ). So, I need an front right axle.

What should I be shooting for and what kind of price range? I thought I read something about trying to get a FWD axle because they're thicker. Is this true? And, if I should manage to get my hands on one, will it affect the other halfshaft which is not FWD?

you are correct, FWD axles are thicker

it seems to make sense to install them in pairs though, more rotating mass on one side of the differential versus the other doesn't seem like a good idea right?

I don't have an idea on prices though, good luck bud.
