'91 SS 5mt LSD in St. Louis

Post by ac30treb »

White '91 SS .
5 speed.
New WRX clutch installed by AXIS. (1500miles ago)
WRX shifter linkage.
STi tranny mount.
WRX struts.
New timing belt and tension pully (2000 miles ago)
Car has 208k miles and EVERYTHING works.
(Air, Cruise, Power antenna, sunroof)

Right now the car has a set of black steel 15" wheels but I'll include the original 15" alloys and also a set of WRX 16" alloys. I didn't get around to buying a set of 15" or 16" tires for it.

It doesn't burn any oil but leaks a little. There is some hail damage that I should mention.

Idles and runs great. Good daily driver. Clear title in hand.
Email me with any questions. I should be able to take some pictures soon.

$1800 OBO.

Please let me know if you're willing to sell the spare set of 15" SS wheels seperately. :-)

Thanks.

I'm not planning to separate the wheels. When it sells, I'll let the buyer know your interested.

Interested... but

I'm interested but I'm concerned about the struts and suspension - that's the major thing wrong with my car - and - that's expensive to fix.

By the way - thanks pal for the help - and - I don't think the motor is blown because it still runs - and they type of black smoke it's throwing - and there is no ticking or knocking.... Just an FYI: I do have a place to park it in Villa Ridge, MO (just past six flags) for a month (if need be).

Your car looks great - I hope you get that out of it - people just don't understand until you own one. I hope my next car is as great as this one has been.

Thanks again,
c.s.

Yeah, the struts were shot on mine when I bought it. It's not too tough or expensive to update to WRX and that's what I did. Now it rides really solid. I got all the info from the sticky in the suspension forum here on Legacycentral. I forgot to mention, it also has new CV boots.

I've been out of town most of the winter/spring and haven't pursued selling (or upgrading) the legacy. It's still for sale and I lowered the price to $1800 without the WRX wheels. Still open to offers.
