Unless you have a vacuum pump, you'll need to take it to a shop.

If you're only gonna pull 28.3 inches of vacuum, you'll need to hold the system at a temperature of about a hundred degrees Fahrenheit during the entire evacuation procedure to boil water. You might get away with driving the car hard (so the engine bay is hot) and then performing the evacuation immediately afterwards with the hood still closed, but I personally would not risk it.

I say spend a little more than $9.99 at a scrap yard and make a much more capable vacuum pump out of two refrigerator compressor motors like I did.

Yeah.....those air comp. vacuum pumps don't work to properly do A/C work.
