will 91 wagon struts fit on a 93 sedan???

will 91 wagon struts fit on a 93 sedan???

OK well my 91 legacy L wagon blew the tranny and i bought a 93 legacy L sedan. The sedan has the right rear strut blown out and wanted to know if i could just replace it with the one thats in the 91 wagon? So if i can please let me know!!

As long as their both AWD, they will physically fit.

The 91 has tapered springs, and the 93 doesn't. So you'd have to swap just the struts and keep the spring/top hat setup.

However....the damping rates will be different, and will probably cause some funky handling....but I guess it can't be worse then a blown strut....

i would suggest doing both rears. im sure they will fit but are different, since wagon usually has stiffer(?) springs. if you are using just the struts, you dont need to change the top mounts, like legacy777 said.
