matt monson did a wiring harness merge on a 92 ss harness to a impreza 1.8 harness. all ss engine harness all impreza chassis harness.
somethings wrong with it and it doesnt work. i know nothing so i wont even touch it for fear of messing it up more.
i dont nessairly need a hand. i need it finished, running, so i can go to work

Damn... I'd come on out this weekend and give you a hand but I've got two vehicles of my own that need some TLC (http://bbs.legacycentral.org/viewtopic.php?t=27192) and a work deadline to hit soon. Pressure is not fun when it's not coming from a turbo
I also would take a while to get up to speed on a wiring job like that (I know jack about the 1.8's). That sucks your car is still down man...

I agree with 206er, you should learn this stuff. Taking ownership of the car and fully understanding the complexity will pay off in the long run. Otherwise someday you could find yourself on the side of the road and be even more helpless than now with car trouble.
Sorry I can't help, best of luck on the project.

I think the wiring is about 90% of the work in a swap, sorry man.azn2nr wrote:i need my swap finished. all thats left to do is sort out the wiring

I'm with Keith on this.
Learning it and getting in there and doing it is the best and nearly the only way to really know your ride, inside and out. Plus, it makes you feel great driving it.
I learned more in the month and a half at F4 than I did in two years of alternative high school, and I wouldn't have it any other way --nearly the best experience of my life!
There's probably not much you can mess up. Just look for the subtle bends in the wiring that will tell you which way it went before you swapped it. And if the plug doesn't fit, it doesn't fit.
