Random sputter

Post by Manarius »

Every once and again going down the road, my car sort of binds up. It acts like it's trying to shift down or something...only for a brief moment then it goes back to normal driving. It only has done this like 3 times within the past 5 days and I'm not too worried about it, but I would like to know what's causing this.

Tranny is Autospastic 4EAT with 150k on it.

Had what could be a similar problem---weird shifting

It had something to do with a failing temp sensor.

Fine since.

What kind of sensor...and how much did it cost?

Not very good on details, but I recall that there is one that does the tranny and the engine.

Can't remember the cost, but it wasn't too painful.
