power steering fluid dexron atf?

Post by CCorsair »

Ok went to check fluid in the wagon and the PS fluid said it a bit low but I looked and I have dexron synthetic but I don't think it would be right to use non ATF and want to make sure.

I was kind of at lost for a bit seening ATF as that Tranny fluid as well.

Any way What brands should look for and which should I stay far from?

Thanks

Just get Dextron 3 ATF - doesn't have to be anything special other than that (I believe that's the right stuff anyway)

Course you know not to use regular PS fluid or brake fluid.

+1

I've been using that for over a year and it doesn't leak. Still steers too.

was asked if any ATF would be ok? I want use the right stuff to keep things running good..

but we do have some universal AFT that saids it can be used in subarus...

Not trying to be cheap we're just low on funds as work has slowed right now. so I trying to work with what we have .

the wagon is going in to the show as soon as I we can as i wan to keep all running good.

thanks
