Coolant Tank on ej22t Same as WRX?!?!?

Post by NuclearBacon »

Hello! i have the opportunity to pick up a WRX coolant tank (the pressurized one sitting on top of the engine) and i was curious about the output nipples (hehe) and are they the same as my broken EJ22-T's? are there the same number of them?

thanks!!! tried finding a pic, couldnt... just need a yay or nay!

No, they are not the same but thats not to say that you couldnt make it work. I have a Legacy twin turbo tank on my SS.

It's not the same shape, but it does the same job and it has the same ports on it. You'd have to rig something up to mount it somewhere and then re-route the rubber tubes to the new location.

Here's a whole thread about how people do it:

On the second page I posted a whole bunch of photos.
