STI Wheels

Post by subiedude07 »

Sorry for being an idiot.

I DID a search and cant find a straight answer easily.

So down to the issue,

will stock 2004 WRX STI wheels fit.

Has anyone put these on? If so what are the effects? Good and Bad.

THX in advance for any help. :D

The 04 STI had the same bolt pattern as all other Legacy and Impreza models, save for the 05+ STI. It should fit, but may be a bit wide in tire and wheel. I'm sure that with some creative fender rolling, it'd work fine.

might not clear on the other side either. With WRX wheels I had barely any clearance between the tire and the rear spring perches.

Plenty of room with the STi stuff though.

ALL EJ series Subarus have 5 X 100 lug patterns, with the exception of the SVX and 05-06 STi.

Cool thanks for the help guys.

One more thing what exactly is fender rolling? :?

I just turned 16 and my turbo leg is my first car so i need a decent set of wheels for next year and thought STIs would be cool. 8)

Fender rolling is when the lip on the inside of the fender is rolled upwards, so that it resembles a tight V or U insteald of and L, as seen from the side. This can give a bit more clearance for wide wheel/tire combinations.

Rota makes a lot of wheels that fit Subarus and SubyDude sells a lot of Rotas.

Also you're looking at over a grand on wheels if you want to go with the BBSes. I recall seeing sets of just wheels for like $800 and like $1200 with good tires.

You can get 02-05 16x6.5 WRX wheels with good tires for like $300. $200 with new RE92s.

Actually the 17x7 06 WRX and LGT wheels would probably be a better fit and are also less.

Hey I found just what I was looking for!
BBSes are THAT much!? I asked my dad about fender rolling and the first thing he said was no. Then read my mind about the STI wheels.

Yes, 04 BBS wheels are that much. They were optional on the 02+ WRX as well, but those are even more uncommon.

The Outback XT wheels are also pretty cool.

I like those wheels a lot, and the Outback H6 wheels are the same, only in gunmetal color, Fast and Furious style y0!

Honestly though, I think when I get my turbo project in an actual car  I think the car will go on 06 WRX wheels. Those wheels are sexAy.
