FMIC Question
So, this might have been covered but has anyone ever looked into removing the AC condensor and putting an FMIC there? I have a 91 that I want to go FMIC with and the AC doesn't matter to me. I just don't want to have to chop the front bumper all apart to make an FMIC fit.

spearco makes one to fit perfectally, which is about the same size as the one im having custom made here in a few months, wont have to cut anything, except in the fender wells where the piping comes through where the battery was and the stock air box was.gt2.5turbo wrote:i dont know if your going to find a core that is skinny enough to fit in said location

Don't happen to have a part number for the spearco FMIC? That sounds pretty interesting. Batteries in the trunk already and the air box can be changed easily.
Another question. I have seen elbows used on FMIC that have been rubber and I have seen guys that have metal tubing bent and expanded to fit and weld the pipe in place. Any advantage on using the metal tube rather than the 90 degree rubber elbow?

you can stick the intercooler where the ac is, you got to cut a little bit but it works perfect if you got the right intercooler. i did it the same way on my gc impreza like my legacy had it.
