EGR fitting on ej25 DOHC driver side head

Post by not8player »

Does any one know the thread size for the EGR fitting on the EJ25 driver side DOHC heads?
Or the Subaru part number for the plug that is supposedly used in some cars with EJ25 DOHC motor without EGR?

The reason for my question is that I need to plug the EGR hole on the DOHC head and don’t have the original EGR pipe.

I would prefer to just buy the right size thread plug to close the hole than re-drilling and re-taping the hole for an NPT plug.

Thank you

it's going to be a pipe thread, just measure it and get one the right size. Probably like 1/2 or 3/4 one of them (SOHC OR DOHC ) is bigger than the other, forget which one though.
