wtb 97gt rims

Post by rustynale »

Hoping for a westcoast seller, but willing to ship from anywhere if price is right. . . Expecting to pay $150-350 depending on condition of rims. Tires okay, if evenly worn.

I was kicking myself last week as I contacted a seller in California with four gt rims (one of which was brand new) who was asking $150--sold that morning. . . Everyone has different preferences in rims and this style I, personally, find to be very complimentary for Subie SW's. . . If I have multiple replies, I'll be sure to post those for other owners who share my admiration!-)

rims for sale

Post by rustynale »

Well, good news is that there are plenty of these rims out there, bad news is that it's cheaper to sandblast my own alloys and repaint them. My favourite subie mechanic has a couple sets of these rims (used) with good winter tires mounted, however he's asking $1200 and $1400 respectively. . . Just a bit too steep for my liking, especially given that there are some killer aftermarket wheels available. If anyone's interested, post and I'll send his phone # (location: Vancouver Island, BC, Canada,).

ps: that's Cdn $, so take off a couple hundred for US price.

Most excellent. . . the timing would be perfect as my current rims are perfect for winter and I wouldn't using the gt rims until the weather turns balmy again.

finally picked up a set of gt rims locally. . .

Post by rustynale »

One of the boys up at Saltair decided to sell me his gt rims and tires for $500. . . What a difference they make--look great compared to the stock rims off of my turbo wagon, but admittedly they are a bit heavier than the turbo rims.

I guess I'll just store the turbo rims (the silver's flaking off to reveal the white paint underneath) until winter; there's plenty of meat left for any snowy days!-). . . Unless somebody expresses an interest?!?

I'm actually thinking about selling my 98 LGT wheels. I'm thinking $350 + shipping and 3% paypal fees if anyone is interested.

Hahaha. My dad has those tires on both his Camry and his Grand Prix. They're kick ass tires.

helluva deal!!

Post by rustynale »

Bear in mind that they won't fit pre-92 legacy's without modifying the springs and shocks. . . They fit on my 92 turbo nicely, but I'm sure if I really, reeeeeeeallllly, corner hard I'll have some rub on the rears. . .

But they look so nice on the car--should've come as original equipment!!!

$350 plus shipping is still a helluva deal!!

ps: Saltair has another set of lgt rims for sale, too

^^^ Do you still have these available? If so, I'd be very interested if you would shot me some pics and being in the CDA area I could save you some shipping hassles.

Just let me know and I'll PM you my email addy.

Thank you.

Edit : I hadn't noticed the year of your post. However, if you do happen to still have them I'm still interested.
