Steering Wheels What cant fit where???

Post by NuclearBacon »

So!! i've seen many steering hweel threads asking does this fit this? does this not fit that?

On our legacy models, i thought this might be a nice place to look to see wat fits where and what wheels you have on your cars (IE: 92 legacy with a 2000 2.5 RS steering wheel, no adapter(meaning it fit without modification))

I can't confirm this, but it seems like any Subaru steering wheel will fit any Subaru, barring the Justy (Justy has different spline count).

I've seen several STi steering wheels on EA-series Subarus, and if I remember correctly, they didn't need any adaptor plates or anything.

I agree, even the momo steering wheel adapters for Subaru's are the same part # between a legacy and impreza.

I believe any subaru steering wheel will fit our cars, but you have to get a hub adapter. I'll find out exactly what adapter it is tomorrow.

is this true? so if i get a 97 legacy GT wheel, it should fit my 92 touring wagon with NO $65.00 adapter? is this correct?

A couple days ago I put on a JDM GC8 WRX steering wheel. It went on just fine. The guy who gave it to me said that he had one on his 98 Legacy GT. So if one will fit on a Legacy GT and it also fits on a 91SS without any adapter...

...I'd assume that a Legacy GT wheel will fit a 92 TW. Lol.

Install it.

 But seriously. It's really just a matter of removing the stock wheel, seeing what is different between the JDM wheel and the USDM wheel, and making the 2 mate up. In asc_up's thread in the picture forum, I described what I had to do to install a JDM TT Legacy wheel in my '91.
