Camber bolts off eBay
has anyone tried obx camber bolts? they seem dirt cheap and if they allow me to dial in -1deg camber in the rear after fitting v7 sti struts, that would be awesome.

I got a set on the rear of my 98 Legacy dropped 2.5" on coilovers and they put the camber back to stock for me (for tire wear). You just got to go easy installing them as they are aluminum alloy, not steel. Also, the nut should only be torqued once. If you gotta adjust them again, get a new nut.

And as we all know, T6061 has:
Medium to high strength
· Good toughness
· Good surface finish
· Excellent corrosion resistance to atmospheric conditions
· Good corrosion resistance to sea water
· Can be anodized
And of course T6 would mean that it has been solution heat treated and artificially aged to a Brinell Hardness (500kg load, 10mm ball) reading of 95-97. Most steel has a reading of at least 300, more near 400. Hmm...makes me want to drill out the knuckle and use some factory camber bolts for the rear.

Oh sorry, 304 series stainless steel has a hardness rating of 150. Guess that's not too far off. So yeah, just be carefull putting those bad boys in if you happen to get a set like that. I personally wouldn't do it on the front though, I don't care what they are made of.

I wouldn't use aluminum or stainless steel. The OEM bolts are all high strength steel (I'm assuming class 10.9 which is about the metric equivalaent to grade 8).
So not only is it a smaller bolt, it's a weaker material as well.
It will probably be fine anyway, though.
