Quick question about drive train.

Post by Tone-us »

Ok, I just aquired some T-leg wheels from a member on here and have a quick question. The tires are allready on the car and I've driven about 200 miles on them allready. Three of the tires are the same 195/60/15's and the other is a 205/55/15. Now my quesion is... is having three of the same and one different size tire going to screw my drive train? I've heard of torque bind but I thought that was only in 4EAT'S? I have a 92 L AWD 5-speed. So if anyone has some input on this I would appreciate it. I don't want to have to replace a lot of major components because of something so small. Thanks in advance.

The 55 tire will muck with your drive train.

You need to have 4 tires of the same rating. No 65's/55's. Either all 5 55's or all 4 65's unless the diameter of all the wheel/tire combos are equal (ie each wheel/tire is exactly the same width across).
