smog check failure

Post by anthonyle2002 »

so i had to get a smog check and it failed because apparently the check engine light doesn't come on. they said most likely the bulb was burnt out. so two questions: what kind of bulb and anyone know how to get behind the gauges so replace the light bulb? thanks!!

I haven't the slightest clue. Probably a 194 bulb and you'll have to pull the bezel and unplug it to get at it. Grab a repair manual at the parts store. They're usually less than $20 and they really come in handy.

Oh snap! You have to deal with California's standards!!! My condolances.

Sorry if that doesn't really help you, but I figured I'd give it a shot.
