ok so i have a quick question. well a few really.
I'm looking at a bone stock 92 legacy sedan, pretty sure its the "L" model with 150k on the motor. so i'd like to know if i could just drop in a ej22t + crossmember into it and make a "SS" legacy.
Also is there anything i should know abou these motors? I'm familar with wrx's and 97-99 legacys but nothing of this "vintage"
thanks

ej22t swap into 92 legacy + misc questions.

well,, its a little more complicated than that, you have the wiring, radiator would need to change, the x-member , exhaust, all the intake stuffs , sensors.. and I am sure some misc other things. but overall yes, you would have the lighter duty trans / diff etc but it would work.
The ej22t is a good motor, as long as its well taken care of, if you have one out do the head gaskets / belts / timing pulleys / water pump ( standard stuff ) before putting it in.
Watch the plastic water resivior, they all crack.
thats about all I can think of.
