Gauge reading vacuum but not boost?

Post by Millertime »

My boost gauge recently started showing only 0 psi!! Since I installed the boost gauge, the needle has always dropped quickly right after stepping on the gas but then would raise to whatever boost I had the MBC set at. The last few days, it's been showing good vacuum, but does the little 'needle jump' and then goes right to 0 psi and stays though entire boost. It doesn't feel SLOW....but I don't know that it feels like it's running 11 psi. If anyone knows whats up with that...please let me know.

Your boost gauge probably took a dump.

The mechanical ones, especially if autometer are so-so.

I hope that's all it is...you think Autozone will replace it if it went sour?

Not really sure. I have a mechanical, and didn't feel like spending the cash on an electrical one. I've heard autometer's electrical ones are good. I've heard good things about Defi as well.

I think everyone likes Defi gauges, but not all of us have the money to splurge on them :)
