new vs used...

Post by spdracr »

So i went to swap in my new 01 rs suspension and it turns out both my CV boots are torn and my tie rod boots are torn as well and i need new ball joints. but thats cool the car is 14yrs old. So should i jsut call up autozone and get new parts or try and hit some some yards for used stuff. what do ya'll think?

Check out the salvage yards for the axles because often you will find axles on those cars which are much much newer than the car they are on. And ususally only $25. I have gotten all but one of my 5 axles that way.

Any for an impreza up until 2001.

If it's a front axle, source the axles for any FWD BC/BF Legacy or Impreza. They are larger in diameter, and the boots are also a bit beefier from what I've seen.
