Speed-density and IAC

Post by Splinter »

So Im going to be running a speed-density system in about 4-6 weeks. Im thinking that since there is no MAF, that Im going to be able to just run my IAC with a filter directly on it, and thats it, like one of those mini mushroom filters people use for valve cover ventilation

Is this accurate? I dont see any reason why it should be connected to the rest of the intake.

And I'm guessing if you are moving to a complete MAP system, you won't really need the stock intake at all. If you can get the PCV system going on a breather (donno if that's a good idea or not) then you can pretty much just stick a cone filter on your turbo.

I was thinking the same thing. I'll be running speed density and I really don't want to run a tube to the intake. I'll probably just put a little filter on the IAC as well.

PCV is a different story.
