Fresh look for the LGT

Post by Yukonart »

With the coming of WCSS8, the 2005 underwent a mild transformation. ;)

Dave and Dean at Solar Reflections Performance supplied teh tint, got the Tein H-Tech springs in trade for installing coilovers on another Legacy, and the wheels and tires (Prodrive PFF7s with Toyo Proxes) are on permanent loan. . . probably going to end up buying them, though. :D

And of course. . .

Your car is just hideous Art. Disgusting. You should be ashamed of yourself.

If you feel like getting that eyesore out of your driveway, PM me.

Speaking of clearing orange out, when are you gonna swap to JDM tails?

Josh, I cleared teh headlights back in September of 2005 . . . and here was the result:

Thanks, Mike. Canon Digital Rebel, nearly 20 years of photography experience, and mad PhotARshop skillz!!!!1

I really want to swap to JDM tails ASAP. Can't yet justify the $350+ it usually costs to get the lenses, though. Was actually thinking of 2007 JDM tails when I can get a hold of some. For some reason, I think they'll look pretty gangster. ;)

Here's a pic for those who haven't seen them:

I'm still torn on the facelifted BL/BP in Japan. The spec.B looks okay, but the regular chrome grill doesn't sit right, and the Outback grill screams Chrysler Town and Country :x

For those who don't know what I'm talking about... here's the new Legacy front end:

And *gasp* the new Outback front end:

Reminds me of the grille from an '83.

I like the 2007 JDM design, sans the Outback front, as you also stated. I'll try and post some pictures of the tailgate chrome section that encompasses the reverse lights and lines-up with the lower clear portion of the redesigned tails.

Personally, I think it'll be a nice look on the RBP 2005 I have.
Also, think red or silverstar turn signal bulbs to eliminate the orage. ;)

Not likin' that new grille.

The new sedan taillights look worse too, think Ford 500.

I want that blue wagon at the bottom! Art's blue is too dark for New England - it's somewhat close to the Strato blue on my Mazda and it looks great clean, but like shit filthy. It's usually filthy. I like my '84 wagon that was silver. I only knew it needed to be washed when it would leave black filth on my clothes after brushing it, then I'd always be amazed that it was indeed silver and not dull gray.

I painted my grille black. :) The crappily done factory silver was no good, so I crappily made it black.

Very nice Art!

And thanks for the pictures, Mike. I loved all of them except for the outback grille...I'm not so sure about that one...
