....celebrate the independance of our country by blowing up a small portion of it? It's the American way!
I ran 15psig (intercooled of course) at sea level, and 17psig up here in the mountains, and my turbo's only marginally better than the stock VF11. No engine management, EGTs look fine, narrowband A/F looks fine.

You can "safely" run a 40 hp shot on an NA engine. You can push it up to 80 hp, but thats at the limit.
Reddevil, Awaiting new heart, will it ever happen?

A turbo legacy is going to be cheaper than this buildup you want to do.asc_up wrote:because i don't have the money to buy one right now nor the patience to save up and buy one....
Especially think about all the engines you might go through.

word. EJ22T is way overengineered in almost every respect, except the undertorqued crank pulley bolt issues (bad engineer BAD).
My 91SS was $1000, and it drove 300+ miles immediately back home.

If you want to do a big build up, do some studying, get the car that suits your purposes best.

my Legacy was $900, i also saw my first TLeg today
my car is pretty cheap on insurance and getting a turbo would make it go up a bit, so id just do a engine swap to a H6 and supercharge it, but since i have not the money nor the time, that might never be done, but i wont bother with this EJ22 except maybe a few cheap things like a pulley
