It looked better with the steelies.

All you need is some open ended lugs, the spray paint them black along with the face of the studs and the axle nut and it would have looked great!

It looked good with steelies?...
I'm afraid that's where our opinions differ. The 'steelies' look like every other steelie, people choose to put on their vehicle during the winter here.
I wanted something, to make the soob different, and didn't the covers look different, especially to you...and me I guess......I'm married, with kids, and honestly had to bow my head and say yes to these.....
DO NOT assume, that these covers were MY choice......But, whatever, I'm not embarrassed to drive the car with them on.....as I'm passing a stuck S10 in the snow........ease off a bit with your opinions....

Don't let Ciper get under your skin. He's as blunt as scalpel at a balloon animal convention... or something like that. He doesn't have the normal say it nicely to strangers inner mechanism that 99% of people do.

Ciper, not knowing you personally, I don't really know what to say. But calling someones car ugly, poorly done, cheap, or not to snuff is a no no. Especially if done bluntly. We've discussed this before when you've dissed other cars. Dude, chill pill. Maybe a moderator needs to sugar coat some of his comments? People are sensitive about their rides, no need to piss people off, intentional or not. Takes away the friendly atmosphere.

Its not meant to piss off.

We spend time complaining and laughing about cars with bad taste often. Remember the wood body kit?

If I had posted a thread about the fake 17 inch hub caps a week before this thread everyone would have agreed with me.

Now someone comes in and has them but I see no mention. Why is everyone being fake?

If you look at the images, he also has APC seat belt covers. I didnt say anything bad about those!

mrkingers: I do like the placement of the driving lights, doesnt detract from the front of the car. I wonder how the trim over the doors on your car isnt peeling. Also did the radiator get replaced? Someone forgot to reinstall the air dam that prevents air from escpaing up over the top.

No one is being fake. Just leaving out comments where they aren't needed. Dude, his wife and kids picked out the wheel covers from 3 choices in Alaska. Cut him a break. Try getting anything shipped to alaska, i'm sure they have a limited selection in just about everything but snow. And he clearly stated that everyone and their mom has black steelies on their car, so avoiding that avoids the wooden body kit sydrome.

Yes, they are a joke. But I definitely has gots to get a winter beater with 15" steelies! Notice no one could tell what they were until he said it. Of course, you can tell up close, but that's not the point. I wanna car with $60 17's. I bet you that nearly half the people that see those wheels from their car will think, "man, he has big wheels on that legacy" and possibly "something looks funny about those wheels, but their pretty big". :D
