I just got a 94 touring wagon last night, so I'm unfamiliar where all the various component locations are. When the car is cold, it idles high. While in neutral, if I press on the throttle the car almost dies or does. I'm thinking the IAC is gummed up or needs to be replaced. I've read around online that the IAC is, "incorporated into the throttle body".
Does anyone have a real picture where the heck this is? I'm sure I keep looking it over and not realizing it.
IAC location?

Nope, haven't checked the codes -- the check engine light hasn't been on. Will Schucks ODB reader work for my car?
I'll take that hose off tonight along with the IAC and clean it, hopefully that fixes my idling problems.

That's how you check codes, and what they all are.

Wow..... It's kinda odd to think my engine compartment used to look like that before I started modding the hell out of it.......

The body is in really good condition (from what I've seen and been told by other Subaru people).Bane wrote:BSOD, engine looks really clean... hows the body holding up?

I briefly looked at the air filter the other day and it seemed a little dirty. Was planning on replacing it with a K&N soon, along with removing the snorkle box thingy in the fender and running a pipe from the fog light to the airbox.
Actually, after driving 500 miles on it now (to college), the car didn't have an idle problem this morning.
