F/S 2002 WRX sedan springs/struts/hats/mounts

Post by supernoob »

I bought this setup for my 90 sedan thinking it would lower the car 1.3"(I guess I misread the compendium). Anyway, it lowered it about 1/4" in the front so I'm going to get some lowering springs. It has 36K of use. The tophats and rubber grommets are brand new. I'm thinking $200 shipped for everything, ready to bolt in. Thanks.

I'll likely take those, let me find out for sure if they'll fit my Forester. I'll get back to you in a PM later tonight.

Anyone wanna make this easy on me and tell me that they won't fit? Optimum take offs for me would be '04 STI, will these bolt up the same?

astv5l, they're yours. They aren't complete take-offs. Everything he mentioned is there, I just like to read into things and get excited.

There was one important detail that I forgot to mention: I don't have any bump stops or dust boots to go with them so they won't exactly just drop right in out of the box. I was going to be using the ones from my stock suspension, but I still need them so I can't include them. The rears can be compressed by hand to get the top nut off for installation, but the fronts need a compressor.

The fronts bolted right up. The rears should as well. At most, you'd have to swap your rear mounts and that can be done without a compressor.
