FS: 1991 Subaru Legacy Turbo 4WD Auto in Oregon

Post by redlineracer »

I bought this car about a year ago. I bought it with 147,000 miles on it and now it has 151,000 miles on it. It has been maintained (regular oil changes with synthetic oil, coolant flushes, etc.). I also still have the original owner's manual with covers. Everything (power windows, power locks with keyless entry, sliding sunroof, power antenna) all works great.

This car is a good runner and I just had over $1,000 of repairs done on the engine. I had a major boost leak so I had the intake tubes and all the hoses replaced. Now it runs beautifully. I put in a Perrin EBCS (Electronic Boost Control Solenoid), shorty open air filter, and atmospheric blow off valve by OBX and DNX burnt-tip muffler. On the interior, I put in an Autometer 5" tach with blue shiftlite and boost gauge. Has a 4-point harness and new CD Player with remote and rear speakers.

I also have extra parts that I will throw in with the purchase of the car. I have a aluminum bezel for the stock in-dash gauges, silicone intake stuff and t-bolt clamps, Beltronics VectorPro GX2 Performance Computer (blue LEDs and face), turbo timer, Power Acoustik Power Sphere 4-channel 960 watt amp with amp kit, platinum battery terminals with digital readout. I have a rear strut bar but I dont know if it will fit because its for an STI.

The exterior of the car has a few scratches and dings from normal wear and tear but on the passenger side rear bumber it has a noticable scrape from me backing into a brick wall (ooppss!). Seats and interior, no cracks on the dashboard, and no tears in the seats but has a few grease marks on the seats. Automatic seatbelts still both operable.

A few things that need to be fixed on the car is that when the car is cold all the dash lights come on (possible ground) but goes away when the car is warmed up, has a crack in the windsheild, the passenger side valve cover leaks onto the exhaust manifold and when you first drive around for the first 5 minutes it will smoke a little but goes away once the car has been driven around for 15 minutes, the front brakes sqeaks alot (NAPA brand, go figure), there is no A/C belt because the bolt broke on the tensioner but it works fine and is ice cold and was recharged and converted to R-134 before the tensioner broke, the TPS clip (the one that goes into the TPS itself) needs to be replaced and when you go down on the pedal all the way off the line, it will hit 20 psi and bog down (need a FCD or standalone system) but you will need to watch the boost gauge and not hit 12-15 psi and you'll be fine, can use new tires and has California plates until December of 2006.

Other than those things, this car has been very reliable. It has a clean title and I have the title in hand with the registration. I would like to get $2,000 for this car but I will take $1,500. KBB pricing (in fair condiion): $1,880; NADA Guide (low retail): $1,650. As you can see this is way below KBB and NADA.

So if you're interested, please email me at racer541@yahoo.com or PM me. Serious inquiries only! Thanks for looking!

Ask Splinter (Steve), he bought my '92 here in WA and took it up to BC.

No matter how broke I am... I always seem to find two cents.
