LOL. I don't believe we should "ride this planet till the wheels fall off". At the same time, though, I don't believe all the hype and "doom and gloom" being professed by the environmental "elite". (Like they've been here for 10, 000 years holding accurate thermometers.) I'm more concerned with rivers being polluted to the point that they spontaneously combust. But even then, a couple rivers won't do squat as far as the whole world is concerned. All-out nuclear war is probably the biggest threat we face. This planet has endured much more than we've been able to throw at it, and I've got a feeling that it's gonna keep on truckin.
